How do we schedule testing or commissioning work?

Send the scope, equipment, and site location by phone, email, WhatsApp, or the contact form. We confirm requirements, then schedule a field service technician around your outage window, energization date, or maintenance shutdown. Early notice helps us align with planned outages.

What information should we send for a quote?

Send the equipment type, manufacturer and model, voltage class, quantities, and site location. Add the scope (acceptance, maintenance, commissioning, or troubleshooting), target dates or outage windows, and any available one-line diagrams, relay settings files, or prior test reports. Nameplate photos help.

Can you support urgent or emergency field work?

Yes. Emergency field validation is part of what we do. Call or WhatsApp us with the site location, affected equipment, and symptoms, such as a trip, relay alarm, or drive fault. We’ll confirm availability and dispatch a field service technician as soon as scheduling allows.

Where does NewEra Testing provide field services?

We’re based in Orlando, Florida, and support electrical contractors, utilities, and industrial facilities across the surrounding region. For projects outside the area, send the site location with your request and we’ll confirm availability.

What documentation do we receive after testing?

Every job closes with detailed technical documentation, typically covering equipment tested, test methods, as-found and as-left results, and deficiencies observed. Relay work includes secondary injection results and verified protection performance against the applied settings, giving you a clear record for owners and future maintenance.

Which standards do you test to?

Work follows applicable ANSI, NETA, IEEE, and IEC standards: ANSI/NETA ATS for acceptance testing, ANSI/NETA MTS for maintenance testing, IEEE 400.2 for VLF cable testing, and IEC 61850 for substation communication validation. Relay settings are applied and verified as issued by the engineer of record or client.
